Write better for the web

some tips for a better web copywriting

Be clear and write coherently.

It is easy to get wordy when writing for the web, the space is basically infinite. However, what you explain with too many words also tends to be unclear. Therefore, be clear, concise and concrete.

Do not write for everyone at the same time.

You know don't know exactly what your reader looks like and therefore, perhaps you should arrange different types of texts to match your diverse readers. This allows you to adjust the message, and general appeal of the content to achieve the maximum allure for each group of readers.

Solve the reader's task

Remember that the reader is not on your site for pleasure, but to address a task. Therefore, it is important to find out what the costumer wants to achieve and to try to present it in a clear way.

Do not forget the search engines

Writing for search engines is a science of it's on (an art in and of itself?). Essentially, it is weaving in relevant keywords into the text without it becoming choppy and incoherent for the regular user.

Use link descriptions

A small but useful tip is to work with nk descrptions. That is, text that appears when you place your mouse on a link. It helps your readers navigate the site and see if they are on the right track to finding the information they are looking by clicking the link.

Use attractive headlines

As you know, you are in a hurry on the web. Therefore, the headlines determine whether you will get the reader interested in the text. It is also wise to summarize the article with a good preamble.
